Books and accounting currencies

An accounting book defines the currency and settings used to produce its ledger.

Configure a book

Review the default book or create another where needed. Choose the accounting currency carefully: it cannot be changed after book creation. Configure precision and review entry and tax-row grouping.

Select the available exchange-rate source, such as ECB or CNB, and rate-date rule. Rules can use the transaction day, previous day, first day of the month or last day of the previous month. Test representative transactions.

Prepare posting

Configure accounts and posting defaults. Creating a book does not itself post historical transactions: review ledger coverage and processing results.
