Transactions and posting

Business records are prepared for accounting and projected into the ledger. Saving, approval, payment and accounting completion are separate events.

Review processing

Check the source record’s accounting status in the intended book. Let pending processing finish before interpreting reports. For failures, inspect the reported issue and relevant source data or configuration.

Check accounts, transaction type, currency, dates and taxes. Correct the cause and use the available processing or retry action. Before creating a replacement, check whether the business record already exists.

Verify the result

Inspect ledger entries against the source amount and expected accounts. A paid or emailed document can still require accounting attention.

Use General ledger and trial balance to check coverage.
