Period locks and corrections
Apply locks after processing, reconciliation and report checks are complete.
Select the period
Accounting periods use the posting date; tax periods use the tax-applied date. Check custom and overlapping periods to understand which lock applies.

Individual transaction locks are separate from period locks. Check both when a change is blocked.
Correct a closed period
An authorized reviewer should identify the affected record and period. If unlocking is required, make the correction, reprocess affected records and review ledger and tax results before restoring the lock.
Retain the explanation and supporting evidence. Rerun any statement or return affected by the change.
